Role Summary
Markit is seeking an experienced testing professional to join the Markitwire Team. They will develop a comprehensive and repeatable automated test process (with focus on non-functional tests) for a high-profile project
This person will report directly to the Test Manager and work with an experienced Test Team to contribute to the quality of the tests.
Duties and Accountabilities
- Prepare test plans, test scripts and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirement specifications
- Develop and maintain an automated regression test suite
- Ensure defects and incidents are identified, prioritised and dealt with, and that any new versions of software are released in a controlled and timely manner
- Prepare test summary reports
- Manage risk and take contingency action where necessary
Business Competencies
- University graduate or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience in automated tests and non-functional tests
- Proven system / regression testing experience, with non-functional tests (performance testing including volume, load, stress and reliability testing)
- Strong technical understanding of Rational Toolset - scripts
- Excellent understanding of software systems and development
- Experience working with V development life-cycle methodology
- Must have experience in programming languages, preferable VBA, SQA Basic and/or Java
- Experienced in defect reporting, tracking and retesting
- Knowledge of non-functional testing techniques
- ISEB certification
- Automated test tools experience
- Rational tools experience (desirable)
- Experience of related projects and system development lifecycles
- Awareness of Derivatives products (desirable)
